Work from local crafts people
light lunches and teas available all day.

The Lee Arts & Crafts Fair has become a regular event in the village calendar.  Originally a one-man art exhibition, the fair has expanded to include the work of many local crafts people and artists.  The 2019 Fair is bigger than ever with more exhibitors and an even wider range of items.

In addition to the craft items, members of the village community provide light lunches, teas and other refreshments all day.  This exercise is a major fund raising exercise to keep Lee Memorial Hall and grounds well maintained  throughout the year, so we welcome the support of villagers and holiday makers alike.

Lee Flower Show has been a key event in the village calendar for more than 80 years.  It attracts a wide range of entries and, considering Lee and Lincombe have a combined population of less than 200, punches well above its weight in terms of other local shows.

There are regular categories of entries including Floral Art, Domestic (cakes, chutney, jam, etc), Produce (fruit, vegatables), Cut Flowers, Pot Plants (categories include succulents, house plants and the famous Chairman's Choice fuchsia*), Handicrafts (sewing and needlework, driftwood art, poetry, photography, painting, etc.).  There is also a section for childrens' exhibits including a petal picture, cheese straws, vegetable monster, mustard and cress, colouring and freehand drawing..

Exhibitors must:

  • reside within one and a half miles of Lee Memorial Hall as the crow flies;
  • or be a member of Lee WI wherever tehy might live;
  • be immediate family to any of the above, or by invitation of the Chair of the Committee.

* Chaiman's Choice fuchsia plants were available from Committee members in May.  Too late this year if you don't have one already, but try again in 2018!
